Lighthouse Early Childhood Learning Center was established in 1981 as a ministry of the First Baptist Church. When the church came to the University City area we saw a need for quality childhood education. We committed ourselves to providing a loving and nurturing preschool program for the children in our community.

We are a non-profit school supported entirely by tuition. We are licensed by the state of California, license #372001859. We operate on a non-discriminatory basis; giving equal treatment to all regardless of race or religion.

Our Goal

Our goal is to provide a positive, safe and enjoyable Christian atmosphere for preschool children to grow physically, cognitively, socially, emotionally and spiritually, appropriate to their age level. They will develop self-expression and independence through creative activities and learn more about themselves and the world around them. Our staff will prepare your child for the next step in their educational readiness.
